It was raining once again when we woke up this morning, so we found an Air Museum on the internet that would be perfect while we waited for the sun to appear.
This was a private collection of a Mr. Lyon - so it was very clean and we were pretty much the only ones there. Gavin and Dave are really into World War II right now, so it was perfect.

After the Air Museum we met up with Gus and Lara who had met up with Melinda and her boyfriend Joel. (Justin met Melinda on his mission to Iowa and she lives in the LA area.) Joel was wanting to go and see the Crystal Cathedral so we all packed up and headed over there. It was an amazing building - made of glass and mirrors. We all got a little out of hand with the mirrors as you can see.

After saying goodbye to Melinda and Joel, we were all anxious to go to the beach - and since it had cleared up we headed to Newport Beach.
Preston didn't know what to think about the beach, with all of its sand. He had a fit at first if I put him down. It took him a little while, but he got used to it.
While we were down at the water the sea gulls came and got into our food. They stole a few granola bars, drank a caprisun or two and made off with a bag of crackers - which we eventually opened and scattered for them.

Looks like you had a great time in California. We went to Daytona in August and the kids loved the beach!
