This morning we woke up, left Las Vegas and headed for Los Angeles. We stopped in Barstow at a skate park and had a nice lunch. All the boys (big and little) played for a bit and then we hit the road once again.
Our first stop in Los Angeles was at the La Brea Tar Pits. We walked around the grounds just a little (it was raining) and then wandered through the museum. I couldn't believe how many bones and fossils they pulled out of these tar pits - millions!!!!
As we were leaving Gavin got upset with us and headed for the van without us - we FREAKED out when we couldn't find him - we were in the middle of LA and he was GONE!!! We eventually found him and had a nice talk about not disappearing again in a major city - he almost got a beating.
The little kids liked the museum, but LOVED the photo booth and the puddles outside!!

When we got to Santa Monica it was still drizzling - but we (I) was so excited to be at the beach and Pier - I used to live here and would walk the dog I babysat down to the park that overlooked the beach everyday.
We walked along the pier until I was chilled and went back to the van. All the boys and Ella went down to the beach and played in the sand and water for a bit and then we went and found something to eat - we were starving.

Santa Monica was a lot of fun. I can't believe that you got to live there for a bit. What a great place.
