The City

Today we drove into San Fransisco to take in some of the sites. No one warned us that Sundays are VERY busy Tourist days in the city - the roads were packed. On top of that they were doing construction so it was really busy. When we got down to the Golden Gate Bridge we made a wrong turn and had to circle all the way back to the bridge through all the cars and construction again!!!

I was so excited to show the boys the Golden Gate bridge. Once we gazed at it for a bit, we headed down to Fort Point.

Fort Point is a Fort that was built during the Civil War, right at the base of the bridge. I had never seen or heard about it before, but while researching our trip I found it. The fort was never used since the war never got to the west coast, and at one time they were thinking of making it the jail.

It was absolutely amazing.

This was taken at Fort Point - you can see San Fransisco behind us.

Heading back.

Up the many stairs.

What a sweet brother.

After Fort Point, we headed over to Fisherman's Wharf. We watched a couple of seals on the docks, had some lunch and messed around.

Then we came across a WWII submarine docked at one of the wharfs. Dave and the boys were so excited - they love WWII stuff. It was only $20 for our whole family to tour the sub so we went for it.

Check out the fish jumping behind the boys!!
