The Bay

Today we rolled into Concord, California after staying in Reno for the night.

The Whartons stayed behind for their cousin's wedding while we went and did a little sight seeing around the Bay Area. I used to live in Fremont when I was 18, so we went and saw all the things that I remembered.

The boys loved the Oakland temple and were so excited that it was the same temple that they had spotlighted in Primary last month!! I used to go to General Conference at the Conference center at the temple and loved walking around the first tier of the temple (it was closed when we went though).

While we were at the temple there were quite a few wedding parties - but they weren't LDS. It took me a few minutes to figure out that they had all come up to take pictures for their weddings becuase the grounds were so beautiful - can't blame them I guess.

After the temple, we headed to Fremont so I could show everyone the house that we lived in and the park I used to walk Cornelius the dog at every day.

Then we stopped in Berkeley and saw the Claremont hotel that I spent A LOT of money to stay in one night with my friends, and the LDS Institute building in Berkeley that I used to go to church in.

Everyone was pretty patient with me while I reminisced.

This is way cool Ginger. I love the temple pictures! Did you go and knock at the door where you were a nanny? do they still live there?
