Oak City Days

August 15th was Oak City Days (down by Delta) and one of our favorite Aunties (Lara) is from Oak City and invited down for the festivities. We got down there around noon for lunch but the line was horrendous - so Dave talked to boys into going to McDonalds in Delta for lunch while I stayed for Dutch Oven Roast, Pork, Potatoes and all the fixin's - it was definitely worth the wait!!
On the way back from their lunch Dave and the boys found a patch of Sand Dunes and stopped to play - when they got back to Oak City they were covered in sand - especially their sweaty heads.
Oak City had a lot of fun things for us to do - games, the boys got to be dunked in the tank a few times, they had cheap cotton candy that the boys devoured and they all got a chance in the trout catch - Cooper was first up and was able to catch a fish in his hands - Spence was next and was able to toss a fish out of the makeshift pond too - Gavin got in and slowly looked around and we wondered what he was doing until he tossed his fish out, he had been looking for the biggest one, and he GOT it!!!
What a great day we had - Thanks Lara!!!

Airborne!!

Spence waiting his turn.

Putting his fish in his bag.

Wheeee!!!

I am so glad you guys came to Oak City Days! We had such a good time with you. I still can't believe that Gavin got that huge fish! Have you fried them up yet? And how is it that my eyes are still closed in the picture with us behind Cooper? I'm not meant to be photographed - EVER.
