This morning we packed up and headed down to Oak City to join the Anderson's in our first Tree Pickin' Adventure.
I have been wanting to cut our own tree for the past few years, but Dave hasn't really been too excited about it. This year I had a little help from the Anderson's to re-assure him that it would be a great adventure.
Once we made our way to "the spot" we all headed out to find the perfect tree. Preston and I lagged behind a bit and the boys eventually lost interest and just started playing in the snow, so Dave was off on his own Adventure. He did a very good job however, and found us our first real tree.
After tree hunting was over, we all sat down to Thanksgiving leftovers and sat around a nice, toasty fire to warm our frozen fingers and toes.
