Yesterday while I was vacuuming I heard a "thud" and heard Cooper starting to cry so I shut off the vacuum and ran to his room. He was sitting on the floor crying and told me that he had fallen off his bed (the top bunk) and he was holding his arm, saying that it hurt. I immediately called the Dr. and made an appointment for an x-ray - then I wrapped it with an ace bandage and gave him some Tylenol, which seemed to make it all better, so I called the Dr. back and told them that we weren't coming.
Today I sent him to school and he seemed to be okay - he said it hurt a time or two but didn't cry about it or anything, so again, I thought he was fine.
Cooper's preschool teacher called me before school was over and asked if something had happened to his arm because he had started crying a few times when it had been bumped or moved, and he had fallen on it in PE and started crying as well - I told her what happened yesterday and said we would get it checked out.
Once Dave got home he took Cooper down to the Dr. and got some x-rays done - sure enough it's BROKEN - he cracked the bone on the outside of his arm, down by his wrist. He'll be wearing a splint for the next two weeks, at which point we will take him back and have it checked again.
Poor Little Guy.
