We had so much fun this trip with the Other Deschamps!
We went down Thursday night and got settled in our hotel - and swam in the pool, of course!
Friday we decided to try a new swimming spot and headed to Little Jamaica just over the border in Nevada. It was AMAZING!!! The kids loved playing in the river, jumping off the rocks, and just hanging out with their cousins.
That night the big boys and I went up to an overlook in St. George to watch the July 24th fireworks. It was gorgeous and we did see a few fireworks, but got tired of waiting around so we missed the big show. Oh well.
Saturday morning we headed over to our beloved Toquerville Falls only to find it was way too low for us to jump off of this year. It was still very beautiful though. After a few pictures we headed back to Little Jamaica to finish out the day. Saturday at Little Jamaice was quite different than Friday - it was full of questionable people - most of them drunk.
We played for a few hours until some drunk chic jumped off the rock where the boys were jumping and had not checked the depth of the water - resulting in a compound fracture at her ankle. Her foot was just hanging off of her leg....gross. After they got her off to the hospital, we packed up and left...that was enough for us. It was a good lesson for the boys that day...don't drink and do stupid stuff!!
