Another Year...Another Trip to California

Friday we started our much awaited journey back to California.

That night we stayed in Las Vegas - right by the Airport.  It was fun to sit in the pool and hot tub and watch the airplanes fly above us and land across the street. The next morning we stopped at Ethel M's for a tour and free sample of Chocolate.
Yesterday afternoon we rolled into Santa Ana.  We checked into our hotel and let the kids play in the pool - cause its their favorite thing to do!!

This morning we drove down to San Diego to see The Whartons. The Whartons live in Payson, but becuase of their busy schedule we never get to see them.  We found out they were going to be in San Diego this weekend and asked if we could run into them.  So we all met up at the USS Midway - which is a retired aircraft carrier/museum.  The boys love World War anything - so it was a hit.

We had a little lunch and decided to head to La Jolla.  We drove through San Diego and were stopped by a freight train - running right through the middle of town - it was so bizarre.

We got to La Jolla and it was PACKED with people, which kind of surprised us since San Diego was pretty dead.

We walked down to the beach and looked at the tide pools and took in the awesome views.

We said our Goodbyes to the Whartons and then went to find the San Diego Temple.
