Ogden Staycation

This weekend we stayed in Ogden for the Air Show at Hill Air Force Base.

Our first stop Friday evening was Union Station to see the trains - oh how Preston LOVES trains - and play all over them.  And then we headed to our hotel to play in the pool - the highlight of every vacation.

Yesterday morning we woke up and headed over to Hill Air Force Base to watch the Air Show.  ALL of the boys were so excited.  Upon entering, we had to go through the metal dectectors, at which point Gavin became very nervous.  He informed me he had about four or five pocket knives on him - because he always has about four or five pocket knives on him.  I told him just to take them out of his pocket when he beeped we would show the guard and we would just take them back to the car - no big deal.  He went through the detector, it beeped and the guard told him he was FINE - didn't even check him!!  We laughed - guess they didn't think he would be the type to be carrying weapons??

About an hour into the air show it started to rain - which we had feared might happen.  We had brought our umbrellas and decided to wait it out a little.  We waited a little and it got much worse!!!  We had to trek back - about half mile - to the Suburban - in a heavy rain storm - and were all DRENCHED by the time we got back.

Good Times, Great Memories.
