Today we took a day off from Disneyland and went to see the sites.

We started in Irvine, where we went to the Orange County Park - which once done, it will be bigger then Central Park in New York.  We got to ride the carousel and the Helium Balloon - for FREE!!  We had to badger Dave a bit, but he finally decided to ride the balloon with us - but he wouldn't let go of the netting - so funny - I had to take my own picture!!

Then we headed over to the Long Beach LDS Temple.  We have been down here a couple of times now and never knew there was a temple in Long Beach.

After the temple he headed up to Abalone Cove in Palos Verdes.  It was so BEAUTIFUL.  We got there at low tide, so we hiked down to the tide pools and took a look around.  I loves me some tide pools. 

Spence found a sea slug, which we hadn't seen before so I told him to pick it up - which is big no-no at tide pools by the way.  He held it for a minute and started screaming, and almost started to cry.  I looked down and the sea slug had inked him - I think he thought he was going to die.  Lol.

We hiked back up to the car and stopped at a Sea Lion Rescue, where we got to talk to on older gentleman about the Seals there and how they help them.

 We had some dinner in Long Beach and skipped over to the Queen Mary.  This ship was a luxury liner in it's day and helped carry troops overseas in WWII - and it's supposed to be HAUNTED.  We had Gavin so scared of Ghosts that he wouldn't even use the ship's bathroom - almost had an accident in his pants. 

We had an awesome day today!!
