Yesterday we said Goodbye to Grandma, Grandpa, Gus, Lara and the girls - they headed home and we headed over to Hovenweep for the next leg of our journey.
We took some windy, broken down old roads and finally made it to the middle of nowhere - and we were all tired. We hiked around about half of Hovenweep and then called it quits. Didn't even get any pictures on our camera - had to borrow Lori's.
We were so glad to get into Green River last night and find our hotel.
This morning we woke up and found out that Tyler had been sick all night long. We hung around Green River for a bit until he was ready to roll without puking his guts out. After a while he seemed to be doing a lot better and we rolled into Goblin Valley. We met Grandma Mary heading out (her rental's power blew out the day before and she was heading home to take care of her renters) and gave her her Mother's Day present. Then we went and found Aaron, Jesse, the boys along with Elena and Brandon Goble. Once we found them we all headed into the Goblins to play.
I love Goblin Valley so much!!! We played on the goblins, played tag, hiked the caves and crevices and found loads of geodes. My favorite Geode I've ever found was given to me by Mick here in the Goblins this trip.
