Ouch!!

Poor little Preston got his tonsils out yesterday!!

He seems to catch EVERYTHING and is continually sick, so we decided along with the Dr. that it was probably a good to get his tonsils out. They have been HUGE every since he was tiny and have caused him sleeping problems along with continued sickness.

I took him the hospital early yesterday morning and they checked us in. When they came to get him I told him that the nurse was just going to take him for a walk and then bring him right back. I asked him to give me a kiss and he did, and then he gave the nurse a kiss - she almost melted. They walked away and he saw me leave which upset him and he started to cry, which made me start to cry.

The procedure didn't take very long and then the Dr. came in and told me that it went very well - his adnoids were just as big as his tonsils and there was very minimal bleeding.

After Preston woke up, they took me and him up to his room on the Peds floor on a big hospital bed - I got to hold him on the bed.

He was talking so funny and slurred because he was drugged up a bit.

Not too long after, Dave and Scarlett came and joined us. Dave took yesterday and today off so he could help me - he's such an awesome Dad/Husband.

Preston hurt for most of the day, telling us his "tongue" hurt. He did really well though to drink a lot and they let us go home that night instead of staying over, which was SO nice.
