The weekend of July 4th we went down to Yankee Meadows up Parowan Canyon and camped with my Brother and his family, my Mom, and my Aunt June and her family - they are from Vegas and so we don't see them but every few years. It was great to get together with everyone, catch up, and meet all the new family members.
On the way down we blew a tire on the freeway - luckily Dave is prepared and was able to fix it within 15 minutes. When we got to Beaver we found a gas station and had the tire replaced.
Yankee Meadows was gorgeous - there was a nice lake surrounded by mountain, that we were able to fish and paddle boat on. Hopefully we'll be able to go again next year and make it a tradition.
On the way home, Dave left his tackle box on the batteries of the trailer and forgot about it. Once we got on the freeway it fell off and was obliterated into a thousand pieces - he was more upset about this happening than the $130.00 we had to pay for a new tire in Beaver - his Grandpa's knife was in the tackle box.
