Date Night up Mona Pole Canyon

A couple of weekends ago a group of us got together and headed up Mona Pole Canyon for a group date. we packed some dinner up there (Taco Time and Subway) and ate at the meadow, then we headed on our way up the mountain. We ran into some friends that said that there was too much snow and a log covering the trail further up - but we decided it would not stop us. We made it through the snow - after getting stuck a few times - the boys hopped the bikes and wheelers over the log and some went around. We didn't make it to the mine because the trail was completely covered with snow at the last bend. We walked around for a bit and noticed that our good buddy Chris had dissappeared - he came walking up the mountain and he was wet - he had slid down the mountain on his chest!!! We all had to have a turn and began sledding down the mountain on our chests and buttocks - it was a hoot!!!

We got down the mountain safe, wet, and covered in mud - but we had the night of a lifetime.
